Walking amongst the cowslips.
So here is summer! At last! Sling the machete and bed roll on the back, don’t forget the water bottle and head out to the countryside in search of peace, relaxation and some flickering flames. It has been a while. I thought I would just stick up a quick update of what I’s been up to down here Sussaaax way. Things continue apace- book launch on Tuesday was a huge success and it was great to spend it with friends’ family and those twitter and blog followers who popped in to pick up a copy- thanks very much for the support!
Unfortunately I haven’t had much chance to get on any wild food stuff for sometime- despite scoffing the best of the hedgerows and not sharing nuffink! Very bad behaviour. Other than book stuff which is taking up more time then I expected I have a month in Scotland planned as research for the next book (fingers crossed!), I am building a tree house for a private client, the bannisters may look familiar! (see pics below), my Mac book keyboard has decided to stop working, causing much ball ache and the purchase of an enormous wireless keyboard that completely defeats the object of having a ‘laptop’.
What else? I am also working on a portable tree house for the more savvy camper amongst you, just got to figure out how to get into it once it’s up! A perfect bank holiday weekend escapade methinks.
The ultimate G&T platform...overlooks the pool!
I did manage to enjoy a bit of the summer last weekend as I’m sure you all did, with a spot of wild camping on the South Downs near Firle (the place where the groovy preacher comes from). Sorry for no practical or informative stuff this time apart from the pictures, I have just got me Aperture 3 and have been geeking on it far too much- quite looking forward to 2 weeks without computer while it is at the doctors. Plenty of good stuff lined up for the months ahead.
Butcher get rudely gets shelter destroyed by small Heese.
Including the addition of video posts from a schweeeeet little HD camera I came across.
Peas,
Nick
Sounds like a very busy time ahead for you! I'm so glad the book launch went well too! And looking forward to the vids! Ah summer! Can't wait! xxx

It looks so different than camping in Canada. I may have to travel there to have a look just to see the different culture . Or maybe in the country lack of it ? It could be great fun anyway.
