Like A.A.Gill, I will be away this week making a dash for the coast in my new coracle: Frank. Frank, myself and the Hungry Cyclist will be making our way through the Sussex countryside and with any luck reach the coast sometime on Friday where we shall pop a cork on some elderflower champers and maybe even give Frank a dousing...
I had a bit of a recce with a friend to check out the upper reaches of the river: lots of fat blackberries for munching, sharp thorns, low branches, running aground and irate women who think they own the river and that we might be "scaring" her cows...honestly, some people!
So, expect a full write up next week and some interesting pics. Also please have a look at the Sunday Times "Home" section this weekend to see a bit of the inside of my home in the branches. You can also reach huntergathercook with www.thetreehousediaries.com

Have a lovely week!
Bon voyage! See you soon and look forward to the write up! xxx

I found your site through the fella who cycled around the world for 3 years.
Really enjoyed reading how you got to this point, and will enjoy reading more!
Thanks for the inspiration: accepting who you are and finding that niche for yourself.

Hi Nick,
Just wanted to thank you for sharing your beautiful and extraordinary treehouse life with me, over a week ago now.
I found you hugely inspirational. I came away feeling that one can make anything possible if you believe. I would love to embark upon a project of building my own treehouse, using all the wood and materials we have around our land. I am not at all DIY minded, though have this dream, that once I start to build, my determination will make it happen and my family will join in! My question is.. Where do I start?!
I wish you and your beautiful fiancee all the best, with many years of fun and happiness.
Warm wishes,
Laura

You've come a long way since your little camp with Ardingly College Cub Scouts.
Great to read about your exploits
